Performance anxiety in children is one of the critical issues affecting thebaby8 growth of a child a. This pediatric anxiety disorder occurs in infants where they show a fearful response to loud noise or the sudden loss of physical support.

Maternal separation is a normal, healthy response in a young one and also indicates the development of healthy attachment. When a child is able to stand on his/her legs and starts to walk on its own, fear of strange animals is an adaptive response. Performance anxiety in children can appear in late childhood and social phobia in adolescence. 

Moreover another common reasons for performance anxiety in children is during test taking days. For some tests create high anxiety among them, while not affecting others at all. The fact that a child have to sit in a desk and take a test within a certain amount of time can cause tremendous inner panic in a child.

Strict classroom settings is another common cause of performance anxiety in children . While classroom rules are normal, a few children feel great anxiety by strict limitations being applied in the classroom. They may feel boxed in or stifled. Their creativity levels may dramatically drop to an all-time low. They might also experience greater difficulty participating in classroom activities.

Children suffering from Performance Anxiety need not suffer in silence. To help overcome these problems there are excellent techniques that have to be adopted. With the proper treatment plan the child can obtain a feeling of confidence and adjustment to school and his peers .One of those techniques is the EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). The application of such a technique will make a huge difference for students .They will find their anxieties relieved and test scores improved.
